DRIVEWAY/PARKING NEWS

BEGINS SUNDAY, JULY 27

Safety is so important during our construction process. In order to keep our members safe when walking from the Y’s main parking lot to the North doors, we will be closing to vehicles the small driveway that connects the North Loop driveway to the main parking lot.

  1. Members are asked to use the South (4th Street) driveway to access the main parking lot by motorized vehicle and walk to the North entrance as usual.
  2. The North Loop will remain open for handicap parking and childcare drop off and pickup.
  3. River Road parking is also available.

What’s next?

Gymnasium, Parking Lot & Steel

August will be a month of big changes and may be a challenging month for our members.  Please bear with us, we are working to be better than ever!

We are having the Gymnasium Floor completely refinished with new lines to accommodate pickle ball, volleyball and basketball.  The gym and track will be closed for 3 weeks during this renovation, August 7-28.

The Parking Lot will be completely redone.  We don’t have the dates or timeline yet, but we will keep you posted and hope that we are able to keep you as un-inconvenienced as possible!

Steel will be delivered in August for the new structure, will need to be crane set, and will probably take up a lot of space in our lot (just like the crane set up last week for the walls).

Please watch closely for signs informing you of safe routes into the building and stay out of the Hard Hat Zones.   Together, we will get through this!

Due to construction there is a lot of sand/gravel that is being brought into the Studio and Fitness Center.  Please carry your workout shoes into the building and change before your workout.  That would be greatly appreciated!!
